"The sage, after the realization of individual yoga (adhyātma yoga), having contemplated [within himself] the God who is difficult to see, who is immersed in mystery, who lies in the heart, who is hidden in the cavity, who is the ancient, abandons pleasure and pain." Khata Upanishad
We have deliberately started from one of the most ancient, orthodox, rational, and primitive descriptions of Yoga because we believe that nothing else needs to be added to this millennia-old science.
And we believe it is our duty and privilege to respect the essential and ancient nature of Yoga, its philosophy, its medical knowledge, its transcendental and initiatory knowledge, preserving this knowledge from contemporary hybridizations and contaminations, especially those of the West, which are capable only of distorting the exceptional power of this science.Invia commenti

Yoga classes are organized as part of a year-long program, through which we explore, study, and practice selected teachings to lead each yogi to an ever-increasing level of awareness and physical well-being.
We interpret this as a "mandate" to promote inner well-being, which must pass through the gross body to reach the subtle ones, internalizing each new knowledge individually to achieve true liberation and enabling the student to continue, anywhere in the world and in their lives, as a free and sentient yoga practitioner.
We firmly reject anything that has to do with the appearance of form or the sublimation of thought from the body. Yoga teaches that form is substance and substance is form. Inseparable.
Yoga courses are offered in both group and individual settings.
Group lessons at the facility last approximately 1.5 hours and are held at the facility located on SS 5bis Vestina Serentina, in the Fonte Augelli area, on weekdays in the late afternoon/evening. Schedules are subject to change annually, so we encourage you to check the annual schedule by contacting us directly. The Medicine Buddha Center provides students with all the necessary materials for class preparation: yoga mats, blocks, cushions, blankets, and anything else needed. Depending on the teaching schedule, teaching materials and end-of-year handouts for individual practice during the summer months are also provided.
Outdoor group lessons are organized during the academic year, in the most suitable months, to allow and encourage a practice that is more in touch with nature. They last approximately 2 hours or more. These lessons may also coincide with special events, such as International Yoga Day, and are usually held in the Capanaro Valley. For outdoor group classes, each student is encouraged to bring their own mat. The Medicine Buddha Center encourages outdoor classes to showcase the local area and its lesser-known sites, combining nature exploration, hiking, and yoga practice.
Individual classes are exclusively for those who require various forms of yoga therapy for physical needs. Only in the case of Pregnancy Yoga and with medical approval can individual classes be held in groups for a maximum of four students. Classes are held at the historic center on Via Campo di Fossa, in the Villa Comunale area. In this case, the duration of the classes is determined and adapted based on individual needs and the respective therapy. These classes typically take place in the morning or early afternoon. The Medicine Buddha Center also provides students with all the necessary materials for class preparation: yoga mats, blocks, cushions, blankets, and anything else needed. Depending on the teaching schedule, teaching materials and handouts for individual therapeutic practice are also provided.

Music therapy is a method of nonverbal, emotional communication and participation, capable of instinctively overcoming the barriers that arise when an individual resides, due to a pathology or other condition, in a unique and individual dimension.
In this sense, music is a language, a vehicle, and an instrument, capable of replacing not only words and verbal reasoning, but also, more importantly, of transporting the individual to a more comfortable, instinctive, relational environment.
The musical sense is an innate, ancestral condition in every individual. Music, rhythm and melody, act as an emotional and instinctive connection. But at the same time, because it is metric and logical, it is capable of activating the deepest parts of reasoning.
If music is therefore the "Trojan horse," then music therapy can be considered the therapeutic form.

Sound and music can facilitate interventions for expressive, communicative, and relational disorders, facilitate psycho-physical integration processes, and promote rehabilitative and cognitive-neuromotor rehabilitation.
The relationship between music and the body has been a subject of interest since ancient times, and with the development of modern medicine, efforts have been made to explore the healing potential of listening to or producing melodies, using increasingly sophisticated tools (neuroscience).
Today, it is known that this discipline can be successfully combined with psychiatric therapies: listening and singing, for example, can reduce the symptoms of schizophrenia and control the agitation associated with dementia, improving the quality of life of patients and their families.
Music therapy sessions are held at the Center's historic headquarters on Via Campo di Fossa, in the Villa Comunale area. The initial therapy and individual sessions begin with a preliminary meeting with the program coordinator, Maestro Rosella Pezzuti. During the meeting, the individual's needs, medical history, and the optimal therapeutic approach will be assessed. Therapy sessions are always individualized and may be held outside the Center only in special cases, subject to prior assessment by the program coordinator.
